I watched it twice, I just can't read my calender : : : No worries I had to look too when I heard it. What channel are you guys watching Top Gear on? I've only seen episodes on line. I download it, as I assume most other people here do. Unfortunately to see the latest episodes that is all we can do unless of course you live in the UK. I know BBC America plays the older eps now and again. I have also seent he episodes pop up on youtube in minute segments.
They sure looked like part of the collection now - I'll have to revisit the FerrariChat thread about Leno and see if they have any updates! Even then He mentioned in an interview, once that he hates clothes, so he sends somebody out twice a year to buy 25 of the same jean shirt and jeans Take care Bob. Even if its just him reviewing something from his own collection, then maybe we'd get to see for sure ; He can't do any other show independent of NBC who owns the name.
I thought I recall seeing a Ferrari or two in the garage, I will have to check next time I am up there or ask Jay.
Randy official sponsor of Jay Leno's Garage. I dont understand though his comments about buying a Ferrari though. If i did'nt buy a car brand based on salespeople attitudes, i would be riding my bike still. If i really wanted a or a Daytona, guess what i would own them. Most of those rare collectables he owns im sure took a lot of research, money an trouble to locate.
More than buying a anyways. I'm wondering, if J. Leno really wanted a Ferrari, why doesn't he purchase one from a private owner and have it serviced at an independant garage that specializes in F-cars? After all Dave Formula 3. Mr Risi is definitely one of the nicest people I've come across in the car biz. Exotic or domestic. My first dealership experience: About 5 years ago when Tony was still at Ferrari of Houston, my wife and I stopped by.
Anyway, here is a young couple in their mid 20's drooling over the yellow GTB on the showroom floor, when up walks Tony. He introduced himself and we chatted about the beauty of the cars on the floor.
He then gave me his card and said when I was ready, he would be happy to help in my search. Then he asked if we would like to see the shop.
He then proceeded to give the complete tour, service area, parts dept,SP race shop, everything. It was a fantastic experience! I still wear the t-shirt I bought that day too.
It's a deg turn from the horror stories I have heard about other Fcar dealers. That being said, I can't believe a guy of Leno's "stature" couldn't find a way around all the BS. It's just sad. I cant say that Jay is wrong. At Ferrari they were Extremely snobbish, like being outside the velvet rope at an exclusive club, luckily I was on the list, otherwise I have no doubt I would not be allowed in.
Bob Formula Junior. Bob , Jan 25, He should get the car on discount. Enzo himself always did that with famous people. Famous people driving your car is free advertising. Of course there is a street value for these cars. They are saying the 1. They did switch to a lease to try to control resale. And if you flip you are out on the future. The four guys that I know bought them still have them actually. And F1's too which they prefer. Those are crazy cars and are the new GTO's.
The Enzo only came with the F It works exactly like that. The profit is split then the process is repeated. Exactly how many Ferrari's have you owned? Not a very accurate assessment.
I was referring to the McLaren F1. I apologize for not being clearer. That makes more sense. You probably meant to ask how I know this. I have run into this issue in the past when buying Ferraris, specifically in San Diego.
In the past I haven't checked in the last three years the only way to buy a "new" Ferrari was to purchase a used one with to 1, miles on it.
The owners of the low mileage cars were people who had relationships with the dealers and were sold vehicles "out of the waiting list sequence" with the understanding that when the vehicles were resold the contact person at the dealership would share in the profit.
Oh, I have had eight Ferraris, at present I have a Superamerica. Oh, are you measuring now? Is this still going on? Simply not the case; I bought my brand new F direct from the dealer my first the car had 19 delivery miles on it; I was the first owner. I paid a modest premium over monroney. This makes him the largest private car collector in the world. Though Leno has the most number of vehicles, Seinfeld wins the prize for owning the most Porsches.
While Leno has approximately cars in his garage, he has no Ferraris. Aside from Lamborghinis, Porsches and McLarens are his other favorites. Many people wondered why that is.
